Shia LaBeouf gives the most intense speech I’ve ever heard, called “Just Do It.” The main idea of this speech is to motivate the reader to accomplish whatever their heart desires. LaBeouf exclaims with passion, “Yesterday you said tomorrow.” He offers the reader a new way of thinking. He is saying that being content is bad—being stagnant is bad. He offers the idea that “If you’re tired of starting over, stop giving up!” This applies to everyone because at some point everyone has been forced to start over, whether it’s because you failed or stopped trying. LaBeouf challenges the readers to get up and make something of themselves by reassuring that it can be done.
ReplyDeleteIn Shia LaBeouf's "Just Do It" video, I feel personally motivated by his passion and intensity. He makes me want to do something important by making me feel lazy and pathetic. That might not be how everyone gets pushed to accomplish things, but it definitely helps me. Also, he makes the video easy to watch by being entertaining and also casual. He's dressed like a normal person, not some fancy, professional unattainable figure that would potentially result in the viewer tuning out. I could relate to nearly every part of the video. The part where LaBeouf says "If you're tired of starting over, stop giving up!" was when he really convinced me to get up, start my schoolwork, and finish it. Yes, the video is humorous and a little eccentric, but the message is applicable in so many different situations. If you want to get something done, then stop procrastinating and just do it!
ReplyDeleteDuring Shia Labeouf's “Just Do It” motivational speech, I feel motivated but I also feel unable to take him seriously. I enjoy the informal way he approached this speech, by yelling, he makes it easy for anyone to listen without losing focus. Not only does he yell but he dresses like a normal guy who just had something he needed to say I like this because I feel like I can better relate to the situation he puts the reader or listener in. Where as someone of much importance can be tuned out fairly quickly with me. Although his ways are different and motivational, his gestures and hair take away from the message he is trying to promote, it makes it more humorous rather than serious. Other than that he encourages me to quit making excuses about everyday life “yesterday you said today…. just do it!”
ReplyDeleteIn Shia Labeouf’s “Just Do It” video, he is trying to motivate his audience through his words, tone, appearance, and body language. I believe he is successful in getting his point across. He got through to me by shouting, because that is easier to listen to than a boring professor behind a desk. It is easier for me to connect with a speaker that is dressed casually, because it makes the atmosphere more comfortable. The only thing I did not enjoy or connect with in this video is his gestures. The flexing and tensing up make the video awkward and harder to take seriously. Besides that, Shia Labeouf is successful in motivating his audience.
ReplyDeleteIn Shia LaBeouf's Just Do It video, he passionately expresses to his audience the need for people to stop dreaming about what they want to do and just do it. I agree with his message. The enthusiasm in his voice and the casual way he dresses draws me into what he is saying. If Shia LaBeouf had a monotone voice throughout the entire video, I would not have been so hooked and eager to "not let dreams be dreams."
ReplyDeleteIn Shia LaBeouf's "Just Do It" video, just watching it makes you feel like you need to do something productive. In the video I noticed how his outfit attire is more casual so it makes you feel more comfortable and interested in what he is saying. He is speaking in a tone that draws you in to listen to it. A quote he used that I liked was, "Yesterday you said tomorrow." I like this quote because it is encouraging you to stop being lazy and do what you want to do to accomplish your goal in mind.
ReplyDeleteShia labeouf id his Just do it motivational video encourages his audience to get up and turn their dreams into a reality. In this video shias fans see him in a way most haven’t previously seen, with shaggy ling hair and a full beard dressed in incredibly casual clothes, causing them to focus more on the videos meaning. Lebeouf uses incredibly awkward hand signals to annunciation some of the main ideas. He also yells throughout the video further grabbing the audience’s attention. He calls out the video watcher for procrastinating and urges them to stop being lazy. “if you’re tired of starting over, stop giving up” shia says as he concludes the video, and further pushed his audience.
ReplyDeleteShia LaBeouf in his motivational video- “JUST DO IT” insists on people to step out of their comfort zone and actually do something about their situation instead of mourning over what they lost while procrastinating. He says, “If you are tired of starting over; stop giving up”. This statement, I believe, is addressing the present, pessimistic generation advising them to not give up on their dreams, ideas, and beliefs just because they feel someone who is not worthy of living their dream, is doing so. Life, as we know it, is not bound to be fair. We can never outsmart someone who is smarter than us. But, we can surely outwork them IF we are willing to put in more hours on an assignment than they did. Some people would say that Shia’s uncommon body movements and acts are an attempt to add humor or instead seriousness to his words. However, I feel that Shia’s rigid body language and his aggressive tone symbolizes the amount of difficulty one would face while trying to amend his/her lifestyle which can eventually help them succeed in the real world. There will be times in our life that we would want to give in. But, if we have the courage to take one more step than the triumph is at that step forward.
ReplyDeleteIn Shia LaBeouf’s “Just Do It” video, he gives one of the most interesting twists on a motivational speech I have ever seen. Throughout the video he is using a loud, stern voice which is different from normal motivational speeches. I like the way he does this because it makes me even more motivated to “Just Do It”. When he uses that particular type of voice it keeps me intrigued with what LaBeouf is saying. However, I do not like the body language that was used in this video. I believe it is distracting from the message and is not very professional. The body language took away from the message his was trying to get across. I believe overall LaBeouf did a good job motivating people through his unique way of speaking.
ReplyDeleteIn Shia LaBeouf’s “just do it” motivational video Shia is commanding the audience to actively pursue dreams by just doing it. Shia speaks not only with words but also with his body language in this video. He uses flexing and weird hand motions to convey the urgency that he wants the to pursue these dreams with. I believe Shia is right in saying “tomorrow you said yesterday” and his repeated message of “JUST DO IT” if we start now a dream becomes a goal but if you never start then it stays a dream.
ReplyDeleteIn Shia LaBeof's motivational speech "Just Do It!" he pleads with his audience to stops dreaming and start achieving. Many have said his speech was “the best motivational speech of all time” while others have just laughed because of his appearance, disregarding his message. I have more than one view on his speech. One being that I agree with his message: being a go-getter and chasing your dreams. However, when I viewed the video I found that it was kind of humorous because of his angered body language and his excessive gestures. That being said, my perception of the video was altered solely because his wild gestures, even though when only listening to the audio I felt his message. I think that Shia Labeof’s message to chase your dreams was empowering while delivering a great sense of encouragement. However, I also feel as if adding the excessive motions took away from his message.
ReplyDeleteIn Shia LaBeouf's, "Just Do It" video, he stresses to his audience that they need to achieve their dreams not tomorrow, but today! I really connected with this video because he dressed very informally and that allowed me to feel more comfortable with what he was saying. I also could relate to his message because i dedicated myself to the gym after tearing my acl, and sometime i have to make myself get off the couch and "Just Do It"! Your life is what you make it and sometime you have to "Just Do It" to be successful. One flaw in this video, to me, were his very aggressive hand gestures because they ultimately distracted from his overall message.
